Strong of its geografic location, São Miguel, our island, is perfectly spotted for big pelagics observation like cetacean or whale sharks, of course, but also for shark watching wich are mainly blue shark, mako, and hammerheads…

Under the supervision of a dive professionnal, you will have the opportunity to visit those lords of the seas, learn about their behaviour, habbits, life style, in a way to understand better the ones that we considered during too long as human enemies…

The “Shark Project” is conducted by a shark specialist, who will inform you about the behaviour of the shark, procedures and all info you want about the species you're going to see…

Because of their migration, and, climatic conditions, the “shark Project” will be conduct from may to october, for  safety and comfort…

Nerus diving center also gives you the opportunity to participate in the sharks conservation, and will refund to the “Project aware” company, 5 euros for each “Shark project” program sold.
